A WAHM’s Wishes

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! When I read Josette’s post on New Year resolutions, I decided that I will make a list for 2009 to keep myself on track. So…what does this work-at-home-Mum wish to achieve next year?
1. Aim to SUBMIT and PUBLISH at least [...]

Copycat alert!

A few years back, I was pissed when I see Mummy bloggers copying phrases, header titles, expressions and writing style right off my blog.
In the spirit of learning English, I let it go since most of these Mummys are Chinese-educated…
Now, I find that this Buy-Chanel[dot]com blog palming off 2 of my posts ad verbatim!
And earning [...]

Help!!! Damsel in distress…

Weather: Foggy (but birds are chirping…)
Temperature: 22 deg C
Hi everyone. I guess I should say that I’m blogging again. How can I stop when:
- my family and friends check my blog regularly for updates (esp for Lucas)?
- I’m a lonely WAHM with few friends in this new country and limited mobility due to my super [...]

Busy working!

Just a short note to inform that I’ll be offline for a while.

Take care [...]

Is anyone there???

Now…

I am at home with a 2 year old from 7 am [...]

I have NO internet

because we cancelled our Streamyx account.
I also have to watch Malaysian TV (will post soon) - because we cancelled our Astro.
I’m “borrowing” WiFi when it’s available, which isn’t reliable.
And I’m still sick with the flu which means I can’t socialize…
It’s UNBELIEVABLY boring!
Anyone knows of a flexible pay-as-you-use internet payment plan??? I only know of [...]

Goodbye, 2007

What has happened the past twelve months?
WORK
I experienced 3 new bosses, the last of whom is one of the most remarkable, intelligent and challenging women I have ever worked with. She was my manager and my mentor and I truly mean it when I say that I am rather disappointed my time with her has [...]

Flexi work - how’s Malaysia doing?

I was quite surprised to read this “UK staff denied flexible work” on BBC this morning. The startling statistic:
Of 8,000 firms quizzed, 90% in mainland Europe made flexitime available, compared with 48% in the UK.
I used to work in a company where “presenteeism” was a strong culture. Nobody frowned on you working late till [...]
