In a few months, my little girl will be 3 years old.
How fast time flies!
A while back, she’d turned 1 year old.
Just after that, she started talking.
And then, she walked.
Now?
She can walk up and down steps confidently. She can even jump off two steps!
She LOVES to jump, jump, jump, jump, jump – she’ll go “jumping, jumping, jumping” when she does that.
She’s growing so fast!
She’s a real clown – she does a funny skit like Donald Duck – she pretends to fall down and when she gets up, she’ll shake her head and go, “Brr, brr, brr…” as if she’s seen stars LOL
She LOVES chocolates and ice-cream – she’ll go, “Slurp! Mmm yummy!” and rub her tummy each time she sees a picture
She’s also into trains – she says the cutest “choo-choo” after she says “train! train!” . And aeroplanes – she’ll say “whewwwww…” and does the gliding action with her little hand.
She’s a fierce little girl – she has beaten, bitten and kicked her poor brother countless of times O_O God save her teacher and friends when she starts playschool. I certainly hope she won’t get any bad reports!
She has terrible tantrums – She’ll throw stuff if she doesn’t get her away. She’ll also throw herself on the ground in a huff. If she still doesn’t get her away, she’ll run to the room and fling herself onto the bed in a fit of anger. And she’s just a TODDLER. Can you imagine what it’d be like when she’s a TEENAGER?
She’s also very sweet. She loves to hold my hand when we walk. She’ll snuggle up to me in bed. She’ll also call out to me and claw my back to turn around and face her.
*The sweetest of all is when I was down with a high fever for a few days. I was sleeping most of the time and the sweetie pie put a blanket over me and gave me a kiss! *
Hahaha, I kiss the kids good night that way – I guess she’s picked it up
She’s such a girlie girl! She loves PINK. She loves gloves, hats, hairbands, clips, necklaces, shoes and creams.
She loves Minnie Mouse (good grief!).
She will ask for some when I’m slapping on my moisturizer, which is why I tend to go for organic or 100% natural creams now since she always wants some.
I’ve never had a best friend.
When I was in primary 3, a girl used to follow me around and everyone said she was my best friend. I don’t think we had a lot in common though. Anyway, I moved away.
When I was in primary 4, I met a girl and we had a lot in common. But she moved away (sob, sob).
When I was in secondary 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, I thought I found a best friend. But one used me to get to know the guys. My dad warned me about it but I didn’t listen. Another blurted out my secrets to her boyfriend. I gave up.
When I was in uni, a best friend found me but I was an idiot. A BIG idiot. And she’s not around anymore.
After that, Hubby’s my best friend.
Later, our son calls me his best friend.
I love them both but they are MEN.
And now I have my little girl. This far, she loves hanging out with her old Ma although we already have our disagreements in food and fashion.
But hey, she’s my only daughter and I’m going to share with her everything that I have. Especially on how not to be another BIG idiot.
Looking forward to sharing my favourite books, going for a facial / massage or two and lots of SHOPPING ![]()

Awwwww this is such a sweet post. Hope my daughter and I can be best friends too. I just love her eyes – so mesmerising!
Paik Ling – You’re still around, my dear? Mothering a girl is so different from mothering a boy. Here’s wishing that all moms will be BFFs with their little girls too
so sweet…..you make me wish more for daughter, hehe….is she a daddy’s girl too ?
Lilis – Oh yes she is! LOL
she’s gonna be 3 already?!!! oh my, so fast! i love her eyes!!!!
dunno about my girls being my bff but i sure do hope that they will continue to confide in me. i don’t know about having sons but i have no regrets having 2 girls….and they’re very diplomatic in that they will say they love both of us when we ask them whom do they love the most, mummy or papa (but the younger one tends to side me more! hehe)
My youngest girl always tells me “you are my bestest mummy ever” LOL! Your girl has such huge and round eyes!
syn – I can’t believe it myself how fast she’s growing and I think that’s a wonderful wish to have for our kids
Many people say that the youngest will be the stickiest since they are the baby of the family. I know mine is perpetually stuck to me even though she adores her father…
Health Freak – Hahaha, the “bestest mummy” eh? So cute! I think you are the 100th person (syn is 99th) to tell me you love her eyes hahaha.
hey one more compliment from me…. love her attractive & sexy eyes
i can imagine your love for the princess… eventhou i don’t have a daughter myself. despite another boy, we adore & love “baobei” to bits being the youngest & baby pet at home !!! i’m definitely spoiling him away…
jacss – Hello, No. 101
The youngest one is definitely special and since my little girl should be the last child, she’s definitely the baby in the family. She’s pretty naughty but then she’s also really cute. Complicated hahaha…
