REVIEW: Rumparooz One Size Pocket Cloth Diaper

by SuperMom on February 28, 2012

Nowadays, we notice that we’ve had to change the toddler’s diaper more frequently and a couple of times, she wakes up saying, “Mi! Mi! Wet! Wet!” because her diaper’s soaked through her PJs.

Although she’s mostly in disposables, I like to put her in cloth diapers when I’m around – Rumparooz is one of my favourite brands after Dream-EZE AIO.

If you read my blog, you’ll know that I DISLIKE pocket cloth diapers because I hated pulling out pee-soaked inserts from the pockets and throwing them into the washing machine.

Now that it’s raining cats and dogs, I’ve come to appreciate how quickly pocket cloth diapers dry up even on days with no sunshine.

I’ve tried Bumwear (my boy’s favourite!!!) and Bum Genius 3.0 but since I was itching to buy me some cute, girly prints, I decided to get a cloth diaper package that included 3 brands.

I found that I really Rumparooz and now have one with Velcro and one with snaps. Although the Velcro one is OK, I prefer the one with snaps because my toddler can’t pull it off easily and run away butt naked!

Here’s Rumparooz fresh from the post box – this print is called “Gumball” and I chose the one with Aplix tabs:

The pocket diaper is made of high quality PUL, which is quite breathable and soft. Not at all “plasticky”, if you know what I mean.

Each Rumparooz comes with a long and medium microfibre insert, with buttons that allow you to snap one on top of the other in various ways to adjust its absorbency i.e. thicker in front for boys, thicker in the middle for girls.

If I have only ONE child, I’d probably play around with this but now that I have TWO kids, I just stack one on top of each other and stuff that diaper!

The best part about Rumparooz pocket diapers are:

a) the 2 internal gussets and b) the super soft fleece that touches baby’s skin

My son was very fussy about his cloth diapers and only truly liked Bumwear’s soft fleecy inside or fitted cloth diapers. When I touched Rumparooz’s fleece, I was thrilled to find that it’s very thick and soft!

Now that I know it’s be comfortable for the kiddo, I was happy to find that the 2 internal gussets keep messy poo in AND that poo washes away easily :D

Oh, yeah, I’m a happy Mummy when I find a CD that wears and washes well.

I really like the Kangaroo print (also available as a Newborn Diaper Cover) because it’s so cute and cheery!

Even if I’m dead tired or I’ve had a *bad* day, the cute kangas cheer me up when I change the tot :D

Furthermore, it comes with snaps, which hold better in the long run compared to Aplix tabs:

The tot likes Rumparooz too and would say “Roo” or “Ball” when she sees the cute prints.

Check out all the cute prints they have:

Browsing around, I find that Rumparooz also sells a Hemp 6R Soaker

I can’t wait for the days to get warmer coz then I can start her on the potty since she can now tell me “pee” and also comes running when she’s done a poo :D

Are you a Rumparooz fan too?
