REVIEW: Dream-EZE All-in-One Cloth Diaper

by SuperMom on January 13, 2012

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged about cloth diapers – life has been really busy as a Mom of two!

I bought quite a number of cloth diapers (not enough pinks as I’d like) for my little girl but since I started working, she’s not been using cloth diapers as much I’d like her to.

One, her toilet habits are not as regular as her brother’s. Her brother’s timing is exact i.e. he’d poo every morning after his breakfast. My baby girl? She poos whenever she feels like it. Due to this, the maid would put her in disposable diapers since she does not like to wash off the sticky poo.

Two, I’m a fan of fitted cloth diapers, which are not waterproof. As a cloth-diapering Mom, I find that fitted cloth diapers are more suitable for a) Moms who have only ONE precious baby to look after and b) for toddlers who have started potty training.

Because fitted cloth diapers need a diaper cover, it’s quite a hassle to put on and take off because you need to first put on the fitted cloth diaper and then put the diaper cover on.

To make cloth diapering easier for the maid and I, I’ve been checking out some All-in-Ones e.g. Dream-EZE.

“The Dream-Eze Organic All In One (AIO) Reusable Diaper by The Natural Baby Company (Made in China) is an easy to use fitted diaper that makes using cloth diapers a cinch for everyone.

With a simple one piece design, Dream-Eze Organic AIOs feature an absorbent, 100% certified organic cotton inner with an attached soaker for customizable absorbability without stuffing pockets. Durable snaps and a soft, waterproof outer cover of TPU in fresh modern colors make the Dream-Eze Organic Cloth Diaper one of our family favorites!”

I heard quite a lot of good things about Dream-EZE and was excited to try it on my baby daughter especially I heard about its trim fit.

The only ‘girly’ colour that suited her skin tone was Blackberry and I bought ‘L’ (16-20″, 12-21″, 8-16″, 24+ lbs) since I heard that it’s a bit on the small side. Here’s the cutie pie at about 8 or 9 months old:

Dream EZE has 2 thick inserts, which are folded in. The 100% organic cotton inserts are a bit strange because one side is smooth while the other side is a bit fluffy. I’m still not sure which side should face baby’s skin :S

Here’s the fluffy side of the insert:

Here are the inserts spread out:

Overall, I found the Dream EZE quite a good AIO cloth diaper I can just grab and snap on the baby and now toddler since the inserts are sewn in. Think she made a poo on it once and it washed out easily with no stains.

Drying the cloth diaper is a breeze too because we can spread out the inserts on a clothes hanger. Plus, the inserts stay soft and absorbent even after a few months of using it.

My 2 year old plus toddler can still wear this cloth diaper comfortably (at the medium setting) and she doesn’t have any issues with it.  It’s a great cloth diaper to wear under dresses and skirts. See how trim it is compared to Rumparooz (pocket cloth diaper):

Since the organic cotton inserts are not as plush as micro fleece, I may get a micro fleece stay-dry liner to make it more comfy for her. Any recommendations?

Will share my thoughts on Rumparooz next, ok? ;-)

We use Bummis microfleece liner for nap, if the diaper isn’t stay-dry. For toddler in the day, I prefer not to add stay-dry layer, to accelerate toilet-training. :)

MieVee – Think I’ll go for Bummis too since I don’t think cloth diapers with snaps will actually help in toilet training.

In my experience, cloth diapers with Velcro or pull-up pants are much better coz the kids are always in a hurry hahaha!

yes, pull up pants are much better !! the boy can’t hold still long enough :p
but marvel doesn’t use cloth diaper as much as i want to too, sob, they are so cute…….he passed his toilet training on age 2, maybe wearing short pants whole day was helping too. but mommy & nanny got to be patient when he wet his pants. alot of mopping required :p

Lilis – I wish that I am a stay-at-home Mom again coz then I can potty train my girl. The maid isn’t that hardworking and prefers to put her in disposables all the time :P
