The shu uemura Principle Lip Serum was the last item I splurged on during my KL shopping trip last year. The Lip Serum is a 10 ml tube which set me back RM85.
According to the shu uemura beauty consultant, the lip serum acts like a scrub for lips and would also help turn my lips a nice, reddish colour.

She gave me a demonstration by dabbing a thin layer on my lips (after removing my lip gloss) and gently rubbed the area around my lips.
Okay, I’m skeptical of ‘instant miracles’ but my alert mode was dazed by the bright, dazzling lights of the glorious shu uemura outlet…ah, Woman, vanity is thy weakness!
I could see:
a) my slightly dark lips looking a nice, reddish colour and
b) the lips and the skin around it was smoother after the mini exfoliation.
I was advised to use the lip serum daily but I have to admit that I have not been that regular with the lip serum after coming back to China. These are just the things that get forgotten when you’re a busy Mother, you know?
Anyway, now that I’m pregnant, I am definitely NOT using it – especially when I re-examined the list of ingredients on this tiny little tube.

Looking at the list of natural and synthetic ingredients, I question the act of subjecting my body, even if it’s just my lips, to so much chemicals, you know. What do you think?
