REVIEW: shu uemura Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Mask

by Kit on July 22, 2009

As I’ve been writing, writing, writing for the past few months, I thought my perfect vision, dead-tired eyes could do with a bit of pampering!

And I remembered the shu uemura Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Mask (8 sachets) I got for RM160 (yes, what was I thinking at that time???) tucked away in my wardrobe.

Opening up one precious, pricey sachet, I found these two, tiny, moistened strips. Yes, ouch the pain in my pocket!!!

Anyway, I read the instructions on the shu uemura box:

After preparing the skin with lotion and essence, take out masks from packet and set the masks on lower eye lids. Remove masks after 5 minutes and discard. Gently massage in the remaining fluid using fingertips.”

I followed my 3-step skincare routine and placed the eye masks as instructed. They fit really nicely on the lower eye lids.

My son was of course really curious and asked, “What’s that???”

I said, “Eye mask. Mummy’s eyes very tired, ok?” He said, “Ok” and went back to his trains. I got to lie down for 5 minutes with my eyes closed. I’ve got such a great kid :-)

After that, I gently massaged the fluid in and went back to being a Mummy. I’ll have to say though that there may be *something* in these eye masks because:

a) my dark circles did look slightly lighter and

b) the lower eyelid area looked more moisturized

Get them from StrawberryNet (Free gift for all new customers!)

I’ve got to try the eye masks again – after all, I have another 7 precious sachets to use. I think I will save them for use later when I get panda eyes from breastfeeding and caring for two LOL
