REVIEW: Gloves in a Bottle

gloves-in-a-bottle /> With the dry winds blowing over here, I was all ready to try out “Gloves in a Bottle“, a shielding lotion that

“bonds with the outermost layer of skin cells to turn it into what works like an invisible pair of gloves.”

The shielding lotion works to prevent dry skin by “helping to keep moisture-robbing irritants out while better retaining your skin’s own natural moisture, resulting in skin that is far better hydrated, over the long term, than what can ever be achieved by conventional lotions.”

As a stay-at-home-Mother, I do quite a bit of household chores e.g. washing my tot’s bottles and butt, bathing him, washing the rice and vegetables for cooking besides the plates on the days the cleaner doesn’t come in.

I hate the fact that my hands have become drier from the constant contact with water PLUS the dry winter in our corner of China.

I started using “Gloves in a Bottle” more than a week ago especially after a bout of washing and reapplied the lotion after every 4 hours as directed.

The lotion works in well and the light scent it leaves behind (althought it’s fragrance and color-free) even gets the approving sniff of my nosey toddler!

Sadly, “Gloves in a Bottle” does nothing for my dry and chapped hands – my hands look and feel as dry as they are after the regular application.

It’s a real pity because I’ve read about it working for a few Mums – the review bottle would have been a real bonus as it came in a good 280 ml size.

Fortunately, my new 40 year old Chinese cleaning lady likes “Gloves in a Bottle” after I asked her to try it. I’ve given it to her as I’d hate to see the bottle (worth US$14.95) go to waste!
