REVIEW: Graco Citisport Stroller

by SuperMom on November 25, 2008

The first stroller we started out with, the Graco Citisport is one of the BEST strollers I have ever used.

The Citisport is sturdy, safe, easy-to-use and moves along well across any type of terrain.

Graco has come to be one of the top brands of baby strollers I’d recommend after Grandpa, Grandma, Hubby and I used the Citisport throughout the infant, baby and toddler stages.

During the infant and baby stages, the Citisport’s 3-way reclining seat is useful for sleeping or sitting up. For the early months, you need an infant head support cushion though…

The breathable material ensured that baby isn’t too hot in the stroller and that cleaning is a breeze too (Just unbutton everything, remove the cardboard frame and dump them into the machine!). Despite the frequent washes, the material stayed strong.

Grandpa and Grandma loved the Citisport’s easy one-hand and one-foot folding and unfolding - I only had to show them once or twice before they got the hang of it :-)

As we used the stroller to push the boy to the wet market (in dry areas only!), around the playground and out shopping at the mall, the big wheels rolled easily over both rough and smooth roads.

The foot brake was also very handy and very safe, keeping both the back wheels firmly locked.

What makes the Graco Citisport a very safe stroller for babies is its weight – 6.6 kg, which means it will not topple over.

However, this means that it’s a heavy stroller for a petite woman like me to load and unload from the car boot. Guess that’s when the gym training and husbands come in useful.

Other than the weight, a transparent screen at the back of the stroller for me to peek at baby and a patch pocket for small items would make this stroller perfect.

To counter this, I rolled up the stroller hood and used the velcro straps to secure it neatly at the side :D

Did you use a Graco too? How do you like it? I know I am really happy with my stroller!

Eli has one Graco, is feather-weighted, just 3+kg…
i like this Graco so much, although it’s light, it looks sturdy and won’t topple over too.
