Zainor - Sorry for the late reply :S Been busy having a baby LOL Thanks for recommending another brand.

Shooi - Good for you!!! I find that throwing the cloth pads in with regular wash a few times and drying them out in the sun help with the stains.

Blossom - It's been more than a decade since I've gone near a sewing machine and it isn't likely I'll be sewing cloth pads if I ever too LOL Thanks for sharing your experiments though. Will certainly help the sewing Moms who visit :D

lotus - Thanks for the tip! Will see if oxygen cleaners are available where I'm at...

Try an oxygen cleaner. Oxy Boost, oxy clean etc. Just rinse out pads and in soak them in cleaner. Or Put all pads in washing machine with warm water cycle add oxygen cleaner let soak in machine for at least an hour then wash through a normal cycle.

I also have a heary flow and when trying the cloth pads made them with four layers of flannel and a nylon backing, this did not even slow it down, added two more layers, same thing. I was on my sewing machine trying to make a leak resistant pad without too much plastic while leaking through the one I had just made :( sigh ... eventually, in desperation I placed one of my liners on top of a commercial pad, then proceeded to use the plastic covering as a leak proof layer below four layers of flannel and viola it worked ... what can I say, I was seriously desperate!! Went out and got some 100% cottoon and bamboo batting and found that two layers between two layers of flannel with the nylon backing allowed the flow to spread over the pad and reduced the risk of leaks. I have order pul to make a base for those days I am out of the house, just in case. Hope this experience is helpful to new comers to pad making.

Just switched to cloth..YAY and am loving it. the only thing that i do not love are the stains on my light colored fleece pads. I tried applying Varnish on it and still it does not remove the stains. Tried googling online and couldn't find out why my fleece pads stain when they say it is not suppose to stain. Any tips to share? Email or chat when you're free ok
