Nisa - Read my other posts on AVENT bottles ok? The breast pump should be OK since no HOT boiling water in it will be fed to the baby. I'd use the AVENT bottles for storing breast milk and feed baby using another brand. Difficult situation and I'm not successful either since AVENT bottles work well with my baby now...

kittycat:

really? not returnable in asia? how so...
any way we can make it happen?
im so so upset rite now.i jst knew abt the BPA issue today..ive been using it since end of 2007 wth my 1st child n now carrying to my 2nd child.
i have a breast pump, sterilizer, 12 4oz bott and 3 8 oz bott.

KittyCat: Nor Elina - you just found out about this??? Poor thing. That's how it islah for countries other than UK, US and Canada. We're just small flies, eh?

I'm down to my last supply of 'old' AVENT bottles and will use the BPA-free bottles soon (I've got 4). Since you have quite a stash there, I suggest you read this post: http://apregnantpause.net/2009/04/15/stuck-with-avent-bottles/

This way, you'll be able to prevent any BPA leaching into your baby's milk or water :-)

I'll be using MAM for the next baby! No more polycarbonate bottles for me...

thyesiewlan - Are you using AVENT bottles? If yes, you may need to get nipples with more holes esp as your babies are reaching 6 months old.

Most AVENT bottles come free with newborn nipples. When my son reached 1 year old, we switched to the variable vent nipples where he learns to adjust the flow by twisting the bottle until he finds the flow he likes best.

I tried slitting the nipples too but just like you had to throw them away because the hole became too big! Not sure if Doctor Baby can fit AVENT's wide neck bottle. I hear some Mums have tried it with MAM nipples successfully? Maybe you can try that too...
