A New Beginning

Thank you for all the birthday comments, calls and SMS! It’s so nice to be greeted on your birthday
(Makes me feel like I’m back in school and young again…)
I especially loved the singing SMS from this Mum’s cute little girl!
A LOVELY LUNCH
I had a nice time yesterday as I met up with an unlikely friend who
- took me out for lunch
gave me a little pep talk
gave me a little present
gave me a new outlook on life’s possibilities and
reminded that I should be “happy” because it’s a “happy birthday”!
I went away feeling just a little happier because I was a bit down when I think of past birthdays. When my sister gave me a kiss yesterday, I’m reminded of how my father would greet and kiss each of us on our birthdays and Christmas. Sigh, it’s hard to let go.
CUPCAKES! CUPCAKES!
Anyway…I then went on to pick up these cuties:
Remember the Elmo cupcakes Lucas got for his 2nd birthday? Here’s a variation of the theme - I ordered some pink ones this time for my nieces, who are *crazy* Barbie (or anything pink) fans.
One is missing because he jumped, yelled and scrabbled for one the minute he saw the box! Phew…I was attacked the moment I walked in the door
If you like them, contact the baker for RM5 each.
BEST OF MY BLOGS
A Pregnant Pause on Blogger NO LONGER EXISTS. I’m sorry I didn’t announce its departure - it just happened one night I couldn’t sleep.
A Pregnant Pause’s new home is here - please update your links! And let me know if you’ve linked me, I’d be happy to link you back IF it’s a proper blog
I’ve started a new blog called “Right Reads” - you’ll find book reviews of ALL the books I’ve read as a child, a teen, a uni student, a teacher, a communicator, a marketeer and a mother. All of Lucas’ books will also be posted there.
I’ll also include useful tips on helping your child to read and learn English as a second language (listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, literature, English exams etc).
Everyone has questions in English class - let me know if you have a specific question/concern about learning English and I’ll be happy to post a topic on that!
A year older, a year wiser, right? Here’s to a new beginning ![]()
