*Check out my guide on ‘How to choose cloth diapers‘!
I had already been using Bumwear but as I was not completely satisfied with them, I was happy to give DryBees a try.
Made of suedecloth by WAHMs from the US, this fitted diaper brand claims to be “one of the best fitting and functioning diapers on the market today.” Got them at RM59.90 each from My Baby Pit Stop.
I love the attractive colors available and got Maple and Lime. The Velcro straps made dressing a squirmy baby or toddler quick and easy. Also, laundry straps are thoughtfully sewn on to prevent catching on other clothing while in the wash.

For me, the top selling point for this brand is the ease of washing as baby’s poo slides off with just a splash or two of water. There really isn’t a need to soak!

The diaper doesn’t fit the boy well even though his weight range falls into the Large size category. As a result, the crotch area hangs down which is more apparent when he’s wet his diapers.
The soaking ability isn’t there even with 2 microfibre soakers and our bed has been soaked through more than a few times due to this. I will try other soakers with higher absorbency.
Lastly, when toddler gains the ability to pull off Velcro straps, be careful of having a nappy-free toddler running to you happily with the nappy in hand!
THE VERDICT
While I find the wet beds an inconvenience and the fit unattractive, I’m willing to give these diapers another go, especially as I’ve been advised to try a number of ways to eliminate the problem.
As this brand is quite popular, I hope, for its own sake and mine, that the benefits connected to the brand will shine through as claimed.
HANDY HINT
It’s best to either bring baby for a fitting to get the right size or compare with another child of the same built.

I found my girl doesn’t fit into Drybees sizes or cutting and therefore I never buy any Drybees even it’s very popular in Malaysia. I prefer Bumgenius more…
Sharine – Yeah, Drybees is really popular! I think it’s due to the pretty prints
For me, function is more important than fashion…
